project review

The project itself is all about surveying and recording all the different fish in the area that indicate a healthy, happy reef. To do this properly, you must learn all the different species and there is some studying and tests. However, the atmosphere of the camp makes it stress free and quite enjoyable. In the first few days, I wasn't sure if I'd actually remember all the different names, nor did I fully understand why it was important to know the names off the top of my head. However, it has been fascinating to learn the individual species and after only one week, we are able to determine the differences between fish and are able to discuss what we are seeing without the hassle of looking it up in a book.

I am looking forward to the rest of my trip with optimisim and know I will be leaving here with new knowledge and new friends.
