The pre-deployment information we received before the start of the South East Asia Eco trail was very accurate and informative. This trend continued to when we arrived in Cambodia where we were made to feel very welcome by Shaadia after a well organised arrival procedure.

The trail itself was very well organised with the initial itinerary explained from the start. This itinerary was a basic template however and it was flexible which was great. The aspect of the trail I enjoyed the most was the trip to Koh Phi Phi and the islands in Cambodia. We had great fun and bonded well together as a group. The Cambodian islands were fun as they felt the most ‘trail’ like and they had a real sense of purpose.

Life on the project surpassed my initial expectations including aspects such as accommodation, hygiene and food. Safety was constantly a priority and allowed us to enjoyed life on the trail with no worries. Shaadia the trail leader was very helpful, and great to chat to if needed. It was sometimes almost difficult to maintain the line between leader and friend but she dealt with it extremely well. She was fab and I will miss her. When I was having difficulties or a hard time she was brilliant. I’m so glad to have met her.

I would definitely go on another trip. All of it was great! It was nice knowing that we had a plan for all the different days but also the ability to have days off to chill out if we enjoyed an area. Brilliant!
